Wolfman Jack, Baby!

Who doesn't remember tuning in their transistor radio late at night, hoping to catch the Wolfman Jack Show on XERB-AM? I can still hear the sexy voice of the woman who announced the call letters: "XERB, Meh-hee-co!"

For the longest time, most of us didn't even know what the Wolfman looked like. All we knew was that he was way beyond cool!

Last week I received a picture of the flyer below, promoting Wolfman Jack's Celebrity Caravan Dance & Show in the late 60s, probably 1968. Notice that Santa Barbara's own Giant Crab were on the bill!
