The Back Door
Mainly a folk and folk-rock club in an alley on Front Street in Ventura
that hosted top singer/songwriters. In the early 1970s the building was
leased by Teen Challenge who established The Beginning coffeehouse
and spotlighted such performers as The Real Thing, Phil & Greg Salazar,
Kaye Waller, and former Five Americans member Norman Ezell.
