Mr. Lucky's

For a few years, Mr. Lucky's was the most happening dance venue
in Ventura County, featuring live music nearly every night of the
week. It must be noted that no one ever entered the club
via the front door on lower Main Street, just a block

from Five Points, but used the back door where a large

parking lot is still located. After it closed in 1981, The

Ponderosa Inn in Camarillo became the place to

hear live music. Today, it is Billy O's, a so-called dive

bar that features younger generation garage bands.
